We're delighted to have Dove House Hospice join us as our 2027 Charity of the Year. Dove House Hospice has been caring for people in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire for almost 40 years. Patients and families are at the heart of everything we do, whether we are caring for people at the end of their lives, providing therapies to help people with life limiting illnesses improve their quality of life, or giving much needed bereavement support to grieving families. Our special person-centred care focusses on the needs of the person we are caring for, not just their illness, and staff take the time to get to know patients and their families to help make staying at Dove House a home from home experience. Take on a scenic summer Half Marathon through the heart of Beverley.
Starting and finishing in Saturday Market, this road-closed route takes runners past the magnificent Beverley Minster, across the open green of the Westwood, and out onto quiet country lanes before returning to the town centre for a crowd-filled finish.
The course is designed for steady pacing on well-maintained roads, with clear signage, smooth organisation and friendly marshals guiding you every step of the way.

Baggage
We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach it to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff, and they will help you find your baggage.

Water & Refreshments
There will be water provided approximately every 5km along the course, and there will also be water available at the finish along with your post-race goodies and medal.

Spectators are more than welcome, we advise staying in the event village where you will be able to catch the start & finish. If you choose to head out onto the course, please be respectful of other runners and be aware of the road closures in place.

Signing up to the Beverley Half Marathon and running for Dove House Hospice will make a big impact on local lives. Dove House provides expert specialist care to adults in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire with life limiting illnesses and supports their loved ones too. The hospice cares for anyone over the age of 18 and provides holistic care ensuring that the patient and their family are the centre of all they do.
Services provided by Dove House
Inpatient Unit for pain and symptom management, respite and end of life care. Outpatient Clinics with doctors, specialist nurses and therapists. Therapies including Complementary therapy, Occupational therapy and Physiotherapy and groups including FAB, Living Well, Tea & Talk and Hearts in Bloom. Family Support for loved ones and carers, as well as looking after Bereavement Care for families using hospice services and for the wider community, including Roots of Support children's bereavement service and Welcome Wednesdays Bereavement Café. Community Groups such as Friday Friends and reach out to the community and open the doors of Dove House to those who need social support. By joining the Dove House team for the Beverley Half Marathon you will make a difference to local families needing support during the most difficult of times.
